 G-d's Minute 4th October 2026

YOU, DEAR CHILDREN, ARE FROM GOD AND HAVE
OVERCOME THEM, BECAUSE THE ONE WHO IS IN YOU
IS GREATER THAN THE ONE WHO IS IN THE WORLD.
                        ( 1 JOHN 4:4 *NIV )

Now when you are faced with a problem that seems to
overwhelm you, remember to ask for God's help.  After all; HE IS A
SHIELD TO THOSE WHO TAKE REFUGE IN HIM.
( PROVERBS 30:5 )

Therefore do not let a person, place or thing trouble you.
For; THE ETERNAL GOD IS YOUR REFUGE, AND
UNDERNEATH ARE THE EVERLASTING ARMS.  HE WILL
DRIVE OUT YOUR ENEMIES BEFORE YOU, SAYING
DESTROY HIM.  ( DEUTERONOMY 33:27 )

Now you may ask "what about satan bothering me?"
Well, He further promises us, "I HAVE GIVEN YOU AUTHORITY
TO TRAMPLE ON [SNAKES AND SCORPIONS*] AND TO
OVERCOME ALL THE POWER OF THE  ENEMY; NOTHING
WILL HARM YOU."  ( LUKE 10:19 )
*"Snakes and Scorpions" is an ancient Hebrew
        Idiom meaning evil spirits!

So, do not let others get you down!  For you have
the awesome power of God with you!  Just remind yourself
that; HE WHO IS IN YOU IS GREATER THAN HE WHO IS
IN THE WORLD, as the first verse said.  AND THE PEACE OF
GOD WHICH TRANSCENDS ALL UNDERSTANDING,
will return to you once again!  Amen.  ( PHILIPPIANS 4:7 )

With My Love & Prayers,
     your servant Allen

Charles Spurgeon's "Faith's Checkbook" Devotional for January 1 “ The Bible’s First Promise ”  - Genesis 3:15 This is the first promise to fallen man. It contains the whole gospel and the essence of the covenant of grace. It has been in great measure fulfilled. The seed of the woman, even our LORD Jesus, was bruised in His heel, and a terrible bruising it was. How terrible will be the final bruising of the serpent’s head! This was virtually done when Jesus took away sin, vanquished death, and broke the power of Satan; but it awaits a still fuller accomplishment at our LORD’s second advent and in the Day of Judgment. To us the promise stands as a prophecy that we shall be afflicted by the powers of evil in our lower nature, and thus bruised in our heel; but we shall triumph in Christ, who sets His foot on the old serpent’s head. Through- out this year we may have to learn the first part of this promise by experience, through the temptations of the devil and the unkind...

Wayside Chapel Daily Devotional 1st January 2026 January 1 Genesis 1:1 1In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. In the beginning God... The Bible doesn't argue the existence of God. It does declare that it is the fool who says there is no God. (Psalm 14:1) The very first verse of the Bible begins with His action related to man, the creation of space and matter. That is the logical starting point of creation for an unchanging, eternal God. The Bible is a declaration of who God is and His relationship to His creation, man. This first verse tells us that God is before all things and the source of all things. The fact that He alone is responsible for all things should cause us to see that we owe our existence to Him. He is the ultimate standard for what is right and appropriate, for He is the source of all. Have you bowed your head to the One who gave you life and acknowledged that you owe your all to Him? Are you living in the recognition of the fact that "In the...
