 G-d's Minute 22nd October 2026

THE STEPS OF A GOOD MAN ARE ORDERED BY THE
LORD, AND HE DELIGHTS IN HIS WAY.  THOUGH HE
FALL, HE SHALL NOT BE UTTERLY CAST DOWN; FOR
THE LORD UPHOLDS HIM WITH HIS HAND.
                       ( PSALM 37:23-24 *NKJV )

Now when we first learned to walk, we often fell down,
but did we stay down?  NO, we reached out to the extended
hand of our mother or father, who helped us back on our
feet.  This happened often until we finally learned to walk on
 our own.

We can learn to walk with our Heavenly Father's helping
hand the very same way!  For then when we fall, we can
reach out to God through prayer, and accept His merciful
helping hand as well!  After all it is written; THE LORD LIFTS UP
THE HUMBLE; HE CASTS THE WICKED DOWN TO THE
 GROUND.  ( PSALM 147:6 )

Also written; HE SHALL GIVE HIS ANGELS CHARGE
OVER YOU, TO KEEP YOU IN ALL YOUR WAYS.
IN THEIR HANDS THEY SHALL BEAR YOU UP, LEST
YOU DASH YOUR FOOT AGAINST A STONE.
 ( PSALM 91:11-12 )

So, walk with God everyday and you will find; THE LORD
YOUR GOD IN YOUR MIDST, HE WILL REJOICE OVER
YOU WITH GLADNESS, HE WILL QUIET YOU WITH HIS
LOVE, HE WILL REJOICE OVER YOU WITH SINGING.
 ( ZEPHANIAH 3:17 )

Now my friend, have a great day knowing that the loving
hand of God is always there ready to help you, no matter
what you may be facing!  Amen.

 With My Love & Prayers,
      your servant Allen

Charles Spurgeon's "Faith's Checkbook" Devotional for January 1

Charles Spurgeon's "Faith's Checkbook" Devotional for January 1 “ The Bible’s First Promise ”  - Genesis 3:15 This is the first promise to fallen man. It contains the whole gospel and the essence of the covenant of grace. It has been in great measure fulfilled. The seed of the woman, even our LORD Jesus, was bruised in His heel, and a terrible bruising it was. How terrible will be the final bruising of the serpent’s head! This was virtually done when Jesus took away sin, vanquished death, and broke the power of Satan; but it awaits a still fuller accomplishment at our LORD’s second advent and in the Day of Judgment. To us the promise stands as a prophecy that we shall be afflicted by the powers of evil in our lower nature, and thus bruised in our heel; but we shall triumph in Christ, who sets His foot on the old serpent’s head. Through- out this year we may have to learn the first part of this promise by experience, through the temptations of the devil and the unkind...

Wayside Chapel Daily Devotional 1st January 2026 January 1 Genesis 1:1 1In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. In the beginning God... The Bible doesn't argue the existence of God. It does declare that it is the fool who says there is no God. (Psalm 14:1) The very first verse of the Bible begins with His action related to man, the creation of space and matter. That is the logical starting point of creation for an unchanging, eternal God. The Bible is a declaration of who God is and His relationship to His creation, man. This first verse tells us that God is before all things and the source of all things. The fact that He alone is responsible for all things should cause us to see that we owe our existence to Him. He is the ultimate standard for what is right and appropriate, for He is the source of all. Have you bowed your head to the One who gave you life and acknowledged that you owe your all to Him? Are you living in the recognition of the fact that "In the...
