Worthy Brief - December 8, 2023

Worthy Brief - December 8, 2023 Re-dedicate yourself! Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. As parents trying to raise kids in this world, we're constantly reminded by the Lord of Proverbs 22:6, 'Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.' The Hebrew word 'train', in this passage is, 'Chanak' which can be translated, 'train up' or 'dedicate.' It's the root word from which we get the word, Chanukah. The festival of Chanukah is not only a time of rejoicing, but also a time of 'dedication.' Let's be reminded of the cost that the Maccabees were willing to pay to make their stand against Antiochus -- who was led of the same anti-christ spirit that swirls around us today. They were willing to lay it all down and dedicate themselves to serving God. As the spirit of anti-christ is

Today's Daily Encounter Friday, December 8, 2023 Even If "If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty. But even if he doesn't, we want to make it clear to you, Your Majesty, that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up."1 Many of us are familiar with the popular story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. It is taught in Sunday school classrooms since the time we are young. We even hear it in song form! It is no wonder it is so well-known seeing how three young Hebrew boys were taken from their home, given Babylonian names, and brought to serve King Nebuchadnezzar. After the King builds a 90-foot golden statue of himself for all to worship, only these three boys refused to bow down to it. The King gets so angry that he heats the furnace seven times hotter than usual and has the boys thrown in. However, as the King watches from afar, he notices there

Wayside Chapel Daily Devotional 8th December 2023 December 8 1 Peter 5:7-9 7Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 8Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. If you have worries and concerns that are weighing you down, you need to find someone who can help you carry them or assure you that he can help you through them. But who doesn't have enough worries of his own? And who cares enough to share those burdens? And who has the power to really assist you through the circumstances of life? Jesus! He cares! And He invites you to cast your cares on Him. He can either change the situation, or give you the grace to get through it by carrying your load. Some of the struggles we face are the attacks of Satan in our life. He is looking for sheep that have strayed

Daily Christian Quote 8th December 2023 Vaneetha Risner December 08, 2023 I have something far better than a reassurance that my dreaded “what ifs” won’t happen. I have the assurance that even if they do happen, he will be there in the midst of them. He will carry me. He will comfort me. He will tenderly care for me. God doesn’t promise us a trouble-free life. But he does promise that he will be there in the midst of our sorrows. http://dailychristianquote.com

Worthy Brief - December 7, 2023

Worthy Brief - December 7, 2023 Celebrate His Promise this Chanukah! John 10:22-23 At that time the Feast of Dedication (Chanukah) took place at Jerusalem. It was winter, and Jesus was walking in the temple, in the colonnade of Solomon. John 10:28-31 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. I and the Father are one." The Jews picked up stones again to stone him. As Chanukah, the feast of dedication, begins this evening, I'm often surprised how many people don't realize that Yeshua (Jesus) celebrated Chanukah. In the gospel of John, it was during this winter feast that He was questioned as to whether He was the Messiah or not, and His amazing responses provoked His questioners to threaten to stone Him. But one of His statements contains a promise which ought to motivate us to the deepest dedication

Charles Spurgeon's "Faith's Checkbook" Devotional: December 7th

Charles Spurgeon's "Faith's Checkbook" Devotional: December 7th “Gift of Strength; Peace to Bless ” - Psalms 29:11 David had just heard the voice of the LORD in a thunderstorm and had seen His power in the hurricane whose path he had described; and now, in the cool calm after the storm, that overwhelming power by which heaven and earth are shaken is promised to be the strength of the chosen. He who wings the unerring bolt will give to His redeemed the wings of eagles; He who shakes the earth with His voice will terrify the enemies of His saints and give His children peace. Why are we weak when we have divine strength to flee to? Why are we troubled when the LORD’s own peace is ours? Jesus, the mighty God, is our strength; let us put Him on and go forth to our service. Jesus, our blessed LORD, is also our peace; let us repose in Him this day and end our fears. What a blessing to have Him for our strength and peace both now and forever! That same God who rides upon the

Days of Heaven on Earth Devotional: December 7th

Days of Heaven on Earth Devotional: December 7th “Abide with us; for it is toward evening” (Luke 24:29) In His last messages to the disciples in the 14th and 15th chapters of John, the Lord Jesus clearly teaches us that the very essence of the highest holiness is, “Abide in Me, and I in you, for without Me ye can do nothing.” The very purpose of the Holy Ghost whom He promised was to reveal Him, that at “that day, ye shall know that I am in the Father, and ye in Me, and I in you,” and the closing echo of His intercessory prayer was embraced in these three small but infinite words, “I in them.” Is it for me to be cleansed by His power From the pollution of sin? Is it for me to be kept every hour By His abiding within? Is it for me to be perfectly whole Thro’ His anointing divine; Claiming in body, and spirit, and soul, All of His fulness as mine? Wonderful promise so full and so free, Wonderful Saviour, Oh, how can it be, Cleansing and pardon and mercy for me? Yes, it’s for me, for me.

Morning and Evening with A.W. Tozer Devotional for December 7

Morning and Evening with A.W. Tozer Devotional for December 7 Tozer in the Morning Heart-Matters It will probably be found at last that there is no sin except sin of the mind. It is the carnal mind that is enmity against God, that is not subject to the law of God, neither can be. It should, however, be remembered that when the Bible speaks of the mind it does not refer to the intellect alone. The whole personality is included in the concept; the bent of the will, the moral responses, the sympathies and antipathies are there also, as well as the intellect. When God saw the wickedness of man, that it was great in the earth, He saw what could not be seen from the outside, that, as it is rendered in one place, the whole imagination, with the purposes and desires of the heart was only evil continually (Genesis 6:5). From this passage alone we may properly gather that sin has its seat deep within the mind where it pollutes the emotions (desires), the in tellect (imaginations) and the will (p

Wayside Chapel Daily Devotional 7th December 2023 December 7 1 Peter 5:2-4 2Be shepherds of God's flock that is under your care, serving as overseers-not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not greedy for money, but eager to serve; 3not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. 4And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away. Peter is addressing the elders that would read his letter to the local church. You will find that the New Testament always addresses elders in a city in the plural. The elders were the overseers of each church. This team of men were to serve willingly, not out of obligation. Shepherding a congregation has many difficulties. It isn't a job that was readily desired, for it means going above and beyond in service. It means a life that exemplifies the life of Christ. The elders are not chosen for their status in life. Some might come from a low

Worthy Brief - December 6, 2023

Worthy Brief - December 6, 2023 The Lord's gifts and callings are irrevocable! Jonah 1:2-3 "Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry out against it; for their wickedness has come up before Me." But Jonah arose to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the LORD. He went down to Joppa, and found a ship going to Tarshish; so he paid the fare, and went down into it, to go with them to Tarshish from the presence of the LORD. Romans 11:29 ...for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. Jonah the prophet ran from what he considered a difficult and abhorrent assignment from God, thinking he could escape to a place where he couldn't be found. He refused to obey the Lord and he boarded a ship headed in the opposite direction. But YHVH's irrevocable gifts and callings were faithfully resting upon His servant Jonah, and He provided the drama needed to bring his man around. He sent a great storm which rocked Jonah's boat and then a large fish which ate him! T

Today's Daily Encounter Wednesday, December 6, 2023 Perfect Peace "You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you."1 Each of us desires peace. In our hearts, we wish for the cessation of difficult situations and for peace to reign in our lives. Many people pray for political peace, others hope for peace of mind, financial provision, and peace within the family this Christmas season. When we seek an antidote to the symptoms of discomfort we experience, we look for external means to help us, not realizing that Christ wants to do an inner work in us, which strengthens our hearts and relieves the stress of our minds. Jesus has much to say about peace. It's mentioned 430 times in Scripture, which means it's an important topic; an area where we need help in order to live fully. In today's verse, God says that He will keep us in perfect peace, if our minds are firm and confident in Him. If we look at the context of this pass

Charles Spurgeon's "Faith's Checkbook" Devotional: December 6th “"Through," Not Engulfed ” - Isaiah 43:2 Bridge there is none: we must go through the waters and feel the rush of the rivers. The presence of God in the flood is better than a ferryboat. Tried we must be, but triumphant we shall be; for Jehovah Himself, who is mightier than many waters, shall be with us. Whenever else He may be away from His people, the LORD will surely be with them in difficulties and dangers. The sorrows of life may rise to an extraordinary height, but the LORD is equal to every occasion. The enemies of God can put in our way dangers of their own making, namely, persecutions and cruel mockings, which are like a burning, fiery furnace. What then? We shall walk through the fires. God being with us, we shall not be burned; nay, not even the smell of fire shall remain upon us. Oh, the wonderful security of the heaven-born and heaven-bound pilgrim! Floods cannot drown him, nor fire

Days of Heaven on Earth Devotional: December 6th

Days of Heaven on Earth Devotional: December 6th “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you” (1 Peter 5:6) Opposition is essential to a true equilibrium of forces. The centripetal and centrifugal forces acting in opposition to each other keep our planet in her orbit. The one propelling, and the other repelling, so act and react, that instead of sweeping off into space in a pathway of desolation and destruction, she pursues her even orbit around her solar center. So God guides our lives. It is not enough to have an impelling force—we need just as much a repelling force, and so He holds us back by the testing ordeals of life, by the pressure of temptation and trial, by the things that seem to be against us, but really are furthering our way and stablishing our goings. Let us thank Him for both, let us take the weights as well as the wings, and thus divinely impelled, let us press on with faith and patience in our high and heavenly calling. Lord, help

Morning and Evening with A.W. Tozer Devotional: December 6th

Morning and Evening with A.W. Tozer Devotional: December 6th Tozer in the Morning Lovingly Truthful Here are some questions I recommend you ask yourself. In quiet silence ask, "Am I always truthful and honest? I claim to be a Christian, and I believe that the root of the matter is in me and the seed of God is in my heart. I believe I am the Lord"s child, but I am not satisfied with the frozen-over rut. Lord, help me to be honest while I answer. Am I always truthful on the telephone? Am I always honest with my creditors, with my employers, with my employees and in all social contracts and contacts?" Somebody may say, "What's the difference?" Dishonesty and shading of the truth are sins that grieve the Holy Spirit and bring on the winter. The winter of your discontent may be upon you, and like the life in a leafless tree, your life is buried within. You may have grieved the Holy Spirit by untruthfulness. One of the first things Christians have to do is become

Wayside Chapel Daily Devotional 6th December 2023 December 6 1 Peter 4:7-8 7The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray. 8Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. If the end was near then, it is certainly much nearer now. The end of the temple worship system and the world as they knew it was at hand. Our world can change in a moment too. When chaos strikes, if we are not clear minded and self-controlled, we will be swept along with the crowd. We should be praying for God's people and those in the valley of decision. We should be looking for opportunities to share with those seeking real answers. Only when the Spirit of God is our guide through daily life, will we be able to hear His guidance when our world goes mad. Peter reminds us that love is to be the one gift we put above all others. This love is not the fickle kind that demands a certain response or it will be withdrawn. This is a lo

Today's Daily Encounter Tuesday, December 5, 2023 Waiting Patiently Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him…1 The tree is trimmed, adorned with a star atop; the halls are decked with lights and colored bows. Carols play and the sweet smells of cinnamon and pine fill the air. If your home is blessed with small children, the wait for Christmas Day is full of anticipation, and that waiting time can become excruciating as their innocent impatience grows thin. We hear ourselves repeating, "not yet", or even redirecting their focus to other activities that can be just as fulfilling. We adults can relate because we've all had to practice patience at some point. Have you heard the saying, "Patience is a Virtue"? It's not just a saying; it's listed as a fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22).   Sometimes God wants to help us build up our patience; increased patience builds our character and makes us more like Jesus. This Day's Verse 5th December 2023 “Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses.  Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make.  Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!  You can make this choice by loving the Lord your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him.  This is the key to your life.  And if you love and obey the Lord, you will live long in the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.” Deuteronomy 30:19-20 The New Living Translation https://thisdaysthought.org/

This Day's Thought 5th December 2023

This Day's Thought 5th December 2023 Temptations which accompany the working day will be conquered on the basis of the morning breakthrough to God.  Decisions, demanded by work, become easier and simpler where they are made not in the fear of men, but only in the sight of God.  He wants to give us today the power which we need for our work. Charles Spurgeon's "Faith's Checkbook" Devotional: December 5th

Charles Spurgeon's "Faith's Checkbook" Devotional: December 5th “High Places of Defense ” - Isaiah 33:16 The man to whom God has given grace to be of blameless life dwells in perfect security. He dwells on high, above the world, Out of gunshot of the enemy, and near to heaven. He has high aims and motives, and he finds high comforts and company. He rejoices in the mountains of eternal love, wherein he has his abode. He is defended by munitions of stupendous rock. The firmest things in the universe are the promises and purposes of the unchanging God, and these are the safeguard of the obedient believer. He is provided for by this great promise: "Bread shall be given him." As the enemy cannot climb the fort, nor break down the rampart, so the fortress cannot be captured by siege and famine. The LORD, who rained manna in the wilderness, will keep His people in good store even when they are surrounded by those who would starve them. But what if water should fail

Days of Heaven on Earth Devotional: December 5th “With a perfect heart to make David King” (1 Chronicles 12:38) “What is the supreme purpose of our life? They were all of one heart to make David king.” Is this our purpose, to prepare the Bride, to prepare the world, to prepare His way? Does it dwarf and dim all other ambitions, all other cares? Does it fill and satisfy every capacity, every power, every desire? Does it absorb every moment, every energy, every resource? Does it give direction and tone to every plan and work of life? Does it decide for us the education of our children, the investment of our means, the friendships and associations of life, the whole activity, interest and outlook of our being? Are we in it, spirit, soul and body, all we are, all we do, all we hope for—OF ONE HEART TO MAKE J ESUS K ING ? We’re going forth united With loyal heart and hand, To bear His royal banner Aboard o’er every land. From every tribe and nation We’ll haste His Bride to bring. And Oh, wi

Morning and Evening with A.W. Tozer Devotional for December 5 Tozer in the Morning Knowing Our Weakness and God's Power Moses was not a fluent man. His words spoken to God must be accepted as being a sincere and fair appraisal of the facts: "O Lord, I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue" (Exodus 4:10). The Lord did not try to cheer up His doubting servant by telling him that he had misjudged his ability. He allowed Moses' statement to stand unchallenged. But He said to Moses, "What about your brother Aaron the Levite? I know he can speak well." God gave Aaron an "A" in speech. He was undoubtedly an eloquent man. Yet it was the halting Moses, not the fluent Aaron, who faced Pharaoh time after time in defense of Israel; it was Moses, not the eloquent Aaron, who wrote the brilliant and beautiful story of the creation; it was Moses who penned the Book of Deuter onomy, o

Wayside Chapel Daily Devotional 5th December 2023 December 5 1 Peter 3:1-4 1Wives, in the same way be submissive to your husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives, 2when they see the purity and reverence of your lives. 3Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. 4Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight. In many homes the woman is more spiritual than her husband. She longs for a man that will lead the home spiritually, and so she often prods her husband. Maybe prodding is too gentle a word, how about "nags"? She leaves books open to chapters that explain his faults, and cuts out articles that describe men with similar shortcomings. She always invites him to church, but he rarely gives in. Every once in a while, it all g

Worthy Brief - December 4, 2023 Be a cultivator of good soil! Hosea 10:12 Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you. At any time, how receptive your heart is will determine your response to God's word. If your heart has been trampled, and harden by bitterness and unforgiveness, then receiving God's message for you will become more difficult. If your heart is like shallow soil on top of a rock, then your mind comprehends God's truths, yet these truths do not penetrate your heart to make a real difference in your actions. Or if you are concerned about the riches of this life, then your focus is on the here and now, and these pursuits prevent God's Word from taking hold and producing quality fruit. But a heart that is on good soil, receives the Word, applies the Word, and in due time bring forth abundant fruit! This is God's desire for you -- to have a he

Today's Daily Encounter Monday, December 4, 2023 Times of Testing "Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers."1 They say that spiritual warfare in a believer's life is often an unusual sign of grace. It is the anointing, the powerful presence of God in a believer, that draws the attention of the enemy. It's as if the anointing oil attracts flies! This is because where we are most vulnerable is what we place the most value on. For some, it's their business or finances that may decline. For others, it will be their integrity or reputation that may be called into question. Important relationships may be threatened. In verses 31-32 of today's passage, Jesus tells Peter that Satan asked to sift them like wheat. But then he assures him that he is praying for him, so that his faith will not falter. In other words, the Lord didn&

Charles Spurgeon's "Faith's Checkbook" Devotional: December 4th

Charles Spurgeon's "Faith's Checkbook" Devotional: December 4th “Covered and Protected ” - Psalms 91:4 A condescending simile indeed! Just as a hen protects her brood and allows them to nestle under her wings, so will the LORD defend His people and permit them to hide away in Him. Have we not seen the little chicks peeping out from under the mother’s feathers? Have we not heard their little cry of contented joy? In this way let us shelter ourselves in our God and feel overflowing peace in knowing that He is guarding us. While the LORD covers us, we trust. It would be strange if we did not. How can we distrust when Jehovah Himself becomes house and home, refuge and rest to us? This done, we go out to war in His name and enjoy the same guardian care. We need shield and buckler, and when we implicitly trust God, even as the chick trusts the hen, we find His truth arming us from head to foot. The LORD cannot lie; He must be faithful to His people; His promise must stand.

Days of Heaven on Earth Devotional: December 4th

Days of Heaven on Earth Devotional: December 4th “From me is thy fruit found” (Hosea 14:8) Nothing keeps us from advancement more than ruts and drifts, and wheel-tracks into which our chariots roll and then move on in the narrow line with unchanging monotony, currents in life’s stream on which we are borne in the old direction until the law of habit almost makes advance impossible. The true remedy for this is to commence at nothing; taking Christ afresh to be the Alpha and Omega for a deeper, higher, Divine experience, waiting even for His conception of thought, desire, prayer, and afraid lest our highest thought should be below His great plan of wisdom and love. O Comforter gentle and tender, O holy and heavenly Dove, We’re yielding our heart in surrender, We’re waiting Thy fulness to prove. O come as the heart-searching fire, O come as the sin-cleansing flood; Consume us with holy desire, And fill with the fulness of God. Anoint us with gladness and healing; Baptize us with power fro

Morning and Evening with A.W. Tozer Devotional for December 4 Tozer in the Morning Man - The Dwelling Place of God - Some Thoughts on Books and Reading ONE BIG PROBLEM IN MANY PARTS of the world today is to learn how to read, and in others it is to find something to read after one has learned. In our favored West we are overwhelmed with printed matter, so the problem here becomes one of selection. We must decide what not to read. Nearly a century ago Emerson pointed out that if it were possible for a man to begin to read the day he was born and to go on reading without interruption for seventy years, at the end of that time he would have read only enough books to fill a tiny niche in the British Library. Life is so short and the books available to us are so many that no man can possibly be acquainted with more than a fraction of one percent of the books published. It hardly need be said that most of us are not selective enough in our reading. I have often wondered how many square yards

Wayside Chapel Daily Devotional 4th November 2023 December 4 1 Peter 2:5,9,11 5you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 9But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 11Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires, which war against your soul. Peter tells us what God is doing with our lives. He is making us into a spiritual house in which He can live by His Spirit. In this analogy he is not referring to us individually, but as a group. We should be interconnected to the work and ministry of others in the family of God. Like the priests of old, we minister to God by bringing sacrifices, but instead of animals, we bring sacrifices of praise for bringing us out of darkness and in

Charles Spurgeon's "Faith's Checkbook" Devotional for December 3

Charles Spurgeon's "Faith's Checkbook" Devotional for December 3 “Peace Whatever Exposure ” - Ezekiel 34:25 It is the height of grace that Jehovah should be in covenant with man, a I feeble, sinful, and dying creature. Yet the LORD has solemnly entered into a faithful compact with us, and from that covenant He will never turn aside. In virtue of this covenant we are safe. As lions and wolves are driven off by shepherds, so shall all noxious influences be chased away. The LORD will give us rest from disturbers and destroyers; the evil beasts shall cease out of the land. O LORD, make this Thy promise good even now! The LORD’s people are to enjoy security in places of the greatest exposure: wilderness and woods are to be as pastures and folds to the flock of Christ. If the LORD does not change the place for the better, He will make us the better in the place. The wilderness is not a place to dwell in, but the LORD can make it so; in the woods one feels hound to watch rat

Days of Heaven on Earth Devotional for December 3

Days of Heaven on Earth Devotional for December 3 “Thy thoughts are very deep” (Psalms 92:5) When a Roman soldier was told by his guide that if he insisted on taking a certain journey it would probably be fatal he answered, “It is necessary for me to go, it is not necessary for me to live.” That was depth. When we are convicted like that we shall come to something. The shallow nature lives in its impulses, its impressions, its intuitions, its instincts, and very largely in its surroundings. The profound character looks beyond all these and moves steadily on, sailing past all the storms and clouds into the clear sunshine which is always on the other side, and waiting for the afterwards which always brings the reversion of sorrow and seeming defeat and failure. When God has deepened us, then He can give us His deeper truths, His profoundest secrets, and His mightier trusts. Lord, lead me into the depths of Thy life and save me from a shallow experience. On to broader fields of holy visio

Morning and Evening with A.W. Tozer Devotional for December 3

Morning and Evening with A.W. Tozer Devotional for December 3 Tozer in the Morning THE WORLDLY "VIRUS" As Christian believers, we must stand together against some things. So, if you hear anyone saying that A.W. Tozer preaches a good deal that is negative, just smile and agree: "That is because he preaches the Bible!" Here are some of the things we oppose: we are against the many modern idols that have been allowed to creep into the churches; we are against the "unauthorized fire" that is being offered on the altars of the Lord; we are against the modern gods that are being adopted in our sanctuaries. We are against the world's ways and its false values. We are against the world's follies and its vain pleasures. We are against this world's greed and sinful ambitions. We are against this world's vices and its carnal habits. We believe this spells out clearly the Bible truth of separation. God asks us to stand boldly against anything or anyone

Wayside Chapel Daily Devotional 3rd November 2023

Wayside Chapel Daily Devotional 3rd November 2023 December 3 1 Peter 1:13-16 13Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed. 14As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. 15But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; 16for it is written: "Be holy, because I am holy." Because God has orchestrated your salvation through the wonder of the incarnation, life, death and resurrection of Jesus, prepare your minds for action! If He went to all that effort to save you, He must have something for you to do. Of course, He desires a relationship with you above all else, but relationship results in actions. Start preparing your mind for the work of infiltrating the world as an agent of Almighty God. Be self-controlled. Self-control is a fruit of the Spirit. Let that fruit come to fruition in your life. Once you realize what i
