 Worthy Brief - October 6, 2026  The one who came back! Luke 17:14-19 "So when He saw them, He said to them, 'Go, show yourselves to the priests.' And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan. So Jesus answered and said, 'Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?' And He said to him, 'Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.'" In our last devotion, "Come with Empty Hands," the tax collector went home justified because he knew he needed mercy. Today we meet a Samaritan leper who came back to worship because he knew he had received mercy. Humility receives grace, and gratitude returns to the Giver.  Wayside Chapel Daily Devotional 6th October 2026 October 6 Psalms 32:1-2, 5 1Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. 2Blessed is the man whose sin the LORD does not count against him and in whose spirit is no deceit. 5Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the LORD"- and you forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah In the Old Testament there were laws that governed the rituals of dealing with sin. The sacrifices and offerings that were prescribed were a picture of Christ who would become the sacrifice in our place. Though the people of Israel followed the instructions given, some of them knew that it was impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to wash away sin.
