 Worthy Brief - September 9, 2026 Keep tending the field!  Mark 4:18–19  "Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, 19 and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful." There is something easy to overlook in Yeshua’s (Jesus’) parable. Even good soil needs care. Receiving the seed is just the start of the farmer’s work, not the end. A field can be prepared, planted with good seed, and watered, but weeds can still show up. The farmer doesn’t just say, "But I already prepared this field." He goes back and deals with whatever is competing with the harvest. That’s what cultivation is, and it’s part of our journey with God.
