This Day's Verse 27th February 2024

But Jesus said, “They need not go away; you give them something to eat.  They said to him, “We have only five loaves here and two fish.”  And he said, “Bring them here to me.”  Then he ordered the crowds to sit down on the grass, and taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and said a blessing.  Then he broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds.  And they all ate and were satisfied.  And they took up twelve baskets full of the broken pieces left over.  And those who ate were about five thousand men, besides women and children.

May your hearts live forever!1 There is a seventeen-year age gap between my youngest brother and me. My mom had in me a built-in babysitter and so, my baby sibling and I became very close. However, a year later, when the time came for me to leave home, my brother, who had become very attached to me, found it hard to let me go. Years later, due to the fact that my family was serving in a church in Mexico, I decided to return to my parent's home during my pregnancy to receive maternity care in the States. My brother, now grown, approached me one day and told me how much he enjoyed having me home again, but wasn't sure he could handle it if I abandoned him again!
