Today's Daily Encounter 27th October 2022

Words  

"A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a
setting of silver."1

Words are such a precious thing. With words we can move
people to laugh, to cry, to love us or to hate us. With
words we can inspire some to noble deeds of kindness,
or if we are so inclined, we can persuade others to
dastardly deeds of violence and evil.
     
Powerful statements can be made from simple quotes. I
love reading inspirational quotes and post them in
several locations around my home and office. Many times
it is these simple quotes that motivate me the most!
Take a look at some of them:


"Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known
God." - Corrie Ten Boom

"The heart that gives thanks is a happy one, for we
cannot feel thankful and unhappy at the same time." -
Douglas Wood


"The tragedy in life," said Albert Schweitzer, "is not
that we die, but rather, what dies inside a man while
he lives."

Abraham Lincoln said, "The best thing about the future
is that it comes only one day at a time."

"People don't care how much you know until they know
how much you care." (author unknown)

Ivy Baker Priest said, "The world is round, and the
place which may seem like an end may also be only the
beginning."
     
Suggested prayer: "Lord, thank you for words of wisdom
that you have given me. Help me always keep them in my
heart, and may they draw me closer to you. Let my words
always be an encouragement and blessing to those around
me as well. Thank you for hearing and answering my
prayer. In Jesus' name, amen."
