Mark 9:33,34 Arriving back in Capernaum they were in Peter's home when Jesus asked what they had been discussing during the journey back. Jesus taught while they walked, but there would have been plenty of time for the disciples to discuss among themselves Jesus' teaching. Consider what Jesus was going through. He had just talked with Moses and Elijah about His departure and told the disciples He would be delivered into the hands of men and killed. He saw the disciples' inability to rely on prayer when ministering. He knows He is about to leave Capernaum for the last time and head toward His crucifixion, and here they are talking like people of the world fighting over position and power...
